The Communication and Cooperation Division includes the following services:

Cooperation and Partnership Service

This service is responsible for:

• building links with foreign and Moroccan local authorities as part of city diplomacy and decentralised cooperation;
• drafting memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements;
• liaising with the administrations based in the municipality to promote the city’s strengths and investment opportunities, and with civil society stakeholders;
• making the arrangements needed for the Municipality to attend international events;
• publicising all partnership agreements signed with foreign countries through the available channels.

Communication Service

It helps organise public meetings, whether annual meetings with civil society or governance forums, where residents are informed about developments in local governance and the management of Kénitra’s affairs. It is also responsible for:

• press relations;
• online media;
• publishing an electronic newsletter on local affairs in Kénitra;
• audiovisual media;
• communication with residents;
• organising public meetings and press conferences;
• building relations with national, regional and local media;
• monitoring media coverage of the Municipality’s news and activities;
• responding to press articles about the Municipality.
